Before application
- Substrate cured, clean, dry and free of sharp edges
- Weather forecast checked (no rain, temperature within limits)
- Materials stored correctly and within shelf life
During application
- Primer coverage and drying time respected
- Thickness measured with a wet-film gauge
- Overlaps and laps sealed
- Corners, drains and penetrations reinforced

After application
- Visual inspection for pinholes, blisters and gaps
- Flood or spray test where possible
- Protection layer installed before other trades work on the area
Documentation
Record batch numbers, weather conditions and test results. Good records make warranty claims and future maintenance much easier.
