Natural asphalt in run-of-mine lump form for melting, blending with bitumen and further processing.
Gilsonite lump is the natural form of the mineral as it leaves the mine: hard, glossy black pieces with a sharp, glassy fracture. It is the most economical form for customers who melt or dissolve gilsonite in their own process, such as bitumen blending terminals, coating plants and grinding mills.
