Compatibility
Gilsonite is compatible with long and medium oil alkyds; test compatibility with short oil alkyds.
Practical modification levels
Gilsonite can replace about 10–30 % of the alkyd solids in black or dark paints. Higher levels may affect flexibility and long-term exterior durability.
